Went out Friday evening about 6 pm and saw the following on, over and near
the new settling pond west of Wirth Lake in Theodore Wirth Park,
Minneapolis:
Solitary Sandpiper
Black-and-White Warbler
Palm Warbler
Blue-Headed Vireo
Yellow-rumps
Chimney Swifts
Broadwing Hawk
and a few others.
I heard a Scarlet Tanager singing but couldn't find him in the treetops, but
I did a beautiful view of one at Westwood Nature Center in SLP this morning.
I also saw Warbling Vireo, Northern Waterthrush, Lincoln's Sparrow and Cliff
Swallow when I was walking around the lake.
