On Friday, May 26th I found an adult male Cinnamon Teal at the =20
Worthington waste water treatment plant, which is about one mile =20
northeast of Worthington on Hwy. 60. I saw the Cinnamon Teal in the =20
middle pond (there=92s three altogether) from 7:30 =96 8:00 p.m. in =20
excellent light. It was with a flock of Blue-winged Teal that =20
consisted of about 8 males and they were all vying for the affection =20
of what I believe was a female Blue-winged Teal. The CITE was =20
preening on the shore of the pond when I left. I returned there =20
earlier today and checked all three ponds but couldn=92t relocate it. =20=
Please be aware that these treatment ponds are managed by a company =20
called EMT for the city of Worthington and the general policy is no =20
trespassing. However, I had called ahead earlier in the week and was =20=
given permission by the plant manager to walk in there to go =20
birding. I think that if you stop by there and the gate is open you =20
can go to the EMT office and ask for permission to check out the ponds.
