In the greater Sherburne area:

* 65 Bohemian Waxwings, Ann Lake (three Cedars mixed in for flavor)

* Two Common Ravens, Ann Lake (good views & listens from 100 feet,
consistently being seen & heard, refuge biologist and CBC counter had in
last two weeks as well. Central MN raven sightings have been understandably
doubted, would invite visitors to check the Ann Lake access road (253rd
across from CR 4) and Sherburne CR 5 in the mornings).

* Red-shouldered Hawk, Great Blue Heron, open marsh near corner of Sherburne
CR 1 & 87.

* Northern Flicker, Ann Lake (Robins still present as well).

* 108 Turkeys, CR 93 (just south of the 16 turn east). Understand 340 were
seen on the area CBC, highest total for any bird.

* Two Great Horned Owls, Mille Lacs CR 12 last evening.

No sightings of the Solitaire for four weeks, immature Goshawk for three.
Only winter finches seen/heard have been Pine Siskins and Purple Finches -
had hoped this would be the winter for Sherburne crossbills and grosbeaks.

Good birding to all.
