male kestrel on the lightpost, just west of the Hwy 5 bridge crossing
the river, at Ft. Snelling, about 3:15 today--caught my eye because I
was looking for one of the red-tails that often hang out near there

Crosby Park: no sign of the barred owls hoped for, but a few hardy
robins were present, north side of the big lake, where a tiny beaver
pond at the shoreline is filled with warm open (spring, or run-off?)
water--otherwise, just the usual winter suspects, and a couple of other
insane outdoor exercise fans
