Hi everyone,
After taking two months off, the mute swan has turned up again on the
Cannon River behind the Lyndale Motel. This swan has been present during the
winter for a few years now, and the area behind the Lyndale has been the
typical spot to see it. The last couple of years, it has been hanging around
with an over-wintering trumpeter swan, but the trumpeter wasn't present
tonight. Anyone trying for the swan may want to check in with the motel
office. Someone told me back in December during our CBC that he was
questioned by the owners of the motel his reason for being there. He said
they were o.k. with him viewing the swans and geese but it must have looked
suspicious to them having him walking around the grounds without their
knowledge. The Lyndale Motel is located on the south side of Hwy. 21 in
Faribault.
