I birded the Duluth area today and saw the following birds, mostly in
previously reported locations:

Townsend's Solitaire - on Park Point near the houses closest to the row of
planted crabappled that lead to the restroom

Northern Hawk Owl - .25 miles N of Martin & Rice Lake Rd

Harlequin Duck - male & female and later male alone (may have been a 3rd
bird?) at the shipping canal by the lift bridge

Gray-crowned Rosy Finch - all 3, started waiting at 8:30, birds arrived at
9:20

Also found Common Goldeneyes, Common Mergansers, a Hooded Merganser,
American Black Ducks, and Mallards in the shipping canal. There may be a
scoter in there....I tried to track it down along Canal Park and lost it in
the shuffle.

I did not find any unusual gulls, the Snowy Owl, or the Gyrfalcon in the
reported locations.
