Spent time Saturday afternoon Birding in Crow Wing and Morrison =
Counties:
=20
At our feeder in Crow Wing County at lunch time - White Breasted and Red
Breasted Nuthatches, Goldfinches, Downy, Hairy and Red Bellied =
Woodpeckers,
Blue Jays and Chickadees. We watch closely now for new birds.

In South Central and SE Crow Wing County - American Crows, Starlings, =
Rock
Pigeons, Downy and Hairy Woodpeckers and a Northern Shrike

In Morrison County - American Crows, Rock Pigeons, Starlings, Pileated
Woodpecker, Ring Necked Pheasants, Snow Buntings, Horned Larks, Merlin,
House Sparrows, Rough Legged Hawks, Yellow Rumped Warblers, Wild =
Turkeys,
Chickadee, Red Tailed Hawks and a Bald Eagle.

Saw one sparrow that we could not identify before it disappeared - Song =
or
Swamp or ?

Saw one Hawk like bird that looked like a Northern Harrier but it
disappeared before we could identify. Also saw two Eagle like birds we =
were
fairly sure=20
were Golden Eagles but both disappeared behind a grove of trees and the =
our
road ended in a farm yard so we could not look further.

We were in Morrison County to do the Owl survey. Never saw an Owl =
during
the afternoon or heard or saw one in the evening on the route. Our =
route
runs thru Pierz.
