Word at The Raptor Center was that two females were duking it out
over territory yesterday and it got a little bloody. One female was
unbanded and the other was Mendota. Some may remember Mendota from
1999 when she battled and killed the female at the Colonnade on 394
and 100--the bloddy battle lasted two and a half hours. There was a
great article about it in the Loon a few years ago.
Anyway, if you work in downtown Minneapolis keep you eyes to the sky
for battles and watch for injured peregrines on the streets.
