One of the adult B-C N Heron has returned to one of the local Golden =
Valley ponds. It was seen on the west pond of the "twin ponds" at the =
corner of Louisiana and Laurel. He hung out by the willow tree on the =
most northern part of the pond. Such a pleasant sight on a cool spring =
day! Other birds/signs of spring:
* Wood Ducks
* E. Pheobe (first seen in this area this year)
* Brown (?) Bat flying over neighborhood
* Am. Toads courting as of last night
* Cooper's Hawk flying all around southern Golden Valley
* Red-Breasted Merganser (two males at Westwood Hills, along with many =
other duck species.)
