Took a tour of recently open ponds, marshes, and flooded fields around 
Bemidji in Beltrami County today and found a nice selection of ducks 
newly arrived. (new Beltrami arrivals in bold)

Mississippi River inlet, downtown Bemidji - Canada Geese, Mallard, 
Common Goldeneye, Common Merganser, Hooded Merganser, Greater and 
Lesser Scaup, Ring-billed Gull, Red-winged Blackbird, Killdeer

Bemidji Slough, Hwy 71 & Oak Hills Road SE/Cty Rd 46 - Canada Geese, 
Mallard, Ring-necked Duck, Blue-winged Teal, Pied-billed Grebe, 
Red-winged Blackbird

Kolkin's Pond, Cty Rd 407 east of Cty Rd 8 - Canada Geese, Mallard, 
Common Goldeneye, Common & Hooded Merganser, Gadwall, Green-winged 
Teal, Northern Pintail, Northern Shoveler, Killdeer, Red-winged 
Blackbird, Eastern Bluebird

Flooded field on Sunnyside Rd SE, east of town - Canada Geese, Mallard, 
Wood Duck
