Sax Zim Bog Birding Information
I put up some suet feeders along the McDavitt Rd and Admiral Rd today. Also there is a rib carcass of deer strapped to a tree on the Admiral Rd.

Admiral Rd feeders
-2.5 miles south of Zim Rd (Co. Rd 27) on east side of road on a large spruce snag
-2.6 miles south of Zim Rd (Co. Rd 27) Deer rib cage = look for red survey tape to indicate location.
-3.3 miles south of Zim Rd (Co. Rd 27) on west side of road on a snag next to a spruce tree.

McDavitt Rd feeders
-2.2 miles north of the Kulu Rd on east side
-2.4 miles north of the Kulu Rd on east side

All the feeders are fairly close ot the road except the first on mention on the admiral road. The spruce tree snag is about 10 yards off the road. I put them in areas where Black-capped Chickadees were seen in good numbers. Since Boreal Chickadees mix in with Black-capped Chickadees hopefully the birds will use these feeders. I did see some Gray Jays on the deer rib cage feeder on the Admiral Rd. I'll be back in the bog tomorrow and I'll check the feeders to see if they are being used. I have one very large suet feeder and I'll hang that on the Arkola Rd where the back hoe is parked on the ditch.

Thanks to all the birders who been donating money to the Derek Morse feeding station on the Blue Spruce Rd. Everytime I visit there the feeding station is getting larger with new feeders being placed on the stand and also more suet feeders being hung on the spruce trees nearby. I know the Morse family is very pleased with the attention they are getting and are thankful to all who have donated $$ to the keep the feeders going.
