[mou] shrike, St. Paul, Bruce Vento Nature Sanctuary

Tuesday afternoon, a shrike was seen east of downtown St. Paul, on the south
side of the Bruce Vento Nature Sanctuary, just adjacent to the railroad
tracks. The springs from the bluff are flowing freely with watercress, and
there is some open water in the wetland ponds as well. Later a red-tail hawk
was seen in the same area.
Another red-tail hawk was seen in Swede Hollow Park to the north, which also
had a huge flock of robins feeding around Phalen Creek.
