[mou] Overwintering Raptors

Have noted significant number of reports on overwintering Merlins, 
Sharp-shinned & Cooper's Hawks, Kestrels and others.

Has anyone (in Minnesota or the upper Midwest) done any significant research 
or written papers on percentages/ages/gender of those who remain, or why 
some don't migrate (far)?
