Celestron 8x42mm Outland LX has anyone used these bino's? Iam planning on getting the nikkon monarch 8x42,any recomendations? most
i can spend is $300

It's been a while since I checked and compared critically, but Celestron binoculars have been second to none since they are intended
for astronomy which is much more demanding in optical image quality than birding is. If you can easily resolve the Galilean
satellites of Jupiter (4 largest), they are fine. If you can't, something is wrong but may be fixable if your Leitz or whatevers
aren't up to par. The "Jupiter test" is also good for evaluating eyepiece corrections by moving the image of satellites from center
to edge of the field and noting any change.
