[mou] Location of dakota County Peregrin Falcon sightings

Hi all,

I was just looking at the sightings amps on the MOU web site and I noticed that there have been a couple of sightings of Peregrine Falcons in Dakota County this winter, and I was wondering where they were seen.

The reason I ask is because this morning while driving through St. Paul Park (which I realize isn't in Dakota County), near the water tower, I saw a "strange" raptor, which to me as I was driving, looked to be more falcon/peregrine like than hawk-like.  It seemed to have a helmet and a white throat.  I am 100% certain it was NOT a Red-tailed Hawk, unless it was a form I have not yet encountered.

I'm not going to count it as anything, but I know that Peregrines have been seen along 61, I would just like to know where.

I did stop at Point Douglas Park this morning, and all I saw were Canada Geese, Common Goldeneye, Lesser Scaup, Mallards, and Trumpeter Swans.  I thought I saw some Mergansers, but they either dove or became something else.

At the Lock and Dam in Hastings, I saw a one-legged female Mallard, which made me real angry, but at this time, I will withold why I was angry.
