Interesting that all the birds Matt reported fall neatly into two
categories: 1) those that are horned; 2) those that are named for snow.
This is the season for such creatures, indeed.

Subject: [mnbird] Clay County Snowy Owl
Went birding yesterday in the Felton area. Found a
Female/Immature type Snowy Owl along County 108. It was perched in one
of the taller trees immediately adjacent to the only house along 108
(north side)
Other birds seen:
Great Horned Owl (2)
Snow Buntings
Horned Larks (seemed to be broken off into pairs?)
