[mou] Eared Grebe on Lake Phalen

I observed a single Eared Grebe on Lake Phalen, Saint Paul in Ramsey County Thursday, May 1.  It was visible from the south parking area as it swam near the east shore.  There were also a fair number of lingering Red-breasted Mergansers along with Bufflehead and scaup.
