I spotted 3 Cattle egrets in breeding plumage ~1030 this morning in a horse pasture in Steele Co. The pasture is on the S side of Hwy 30 at the intersection with CR 3, about 1 mi E of I-35 near Ellendale.

I also observed 2 singing Cerulean warblers and an Acadian flycatcher in the Cannon River Wilderness in Rice Co. where they were reported earlier this week. I entered the Wilderness from the E-side parking lot off CR 20.

Other birds heard/seen:

Blue-winged warbler (at least 4 singing; got good looks at one)
Black-billed cuckoo
Veery
Wood thrush
Cardinal
Am. redstart
Ovenbird
Least flycatcher
Yellow warbler
Common yellowthroat
GC flycatcher
EW pewee
E towhee
RB grosbeak
