Sabine's Gull in Faribault County

'Rare Regular' in Minnesota - Five or fewer records in Faribault County for the Fall season

Yesterday evening I spotted a juvenile Sabine's gull feeding very close to the north shore of South Walnut Lake in Faribault County. We watched it for over two hours as it leisurely picked bugs off the surface of the water. It also gave us spectacular views of its beautiful wing pattern when it occasionally took flight.
