Common in Hennepin County in the Summer season
Two of three male northern flickers in a nest hole first made by red-bellied woodpeckers two years ago. Located in our backyard. Moments after this photo was taken the female adult arrived to feed them. As she left, these two birds fledged, following her as she took off. There is one remaining male in the nest, calling and looking like he could follow his brothers shortly.
