Common in Dakota County in the Fall season

From Jirik Sod Farm. Recent rains make for good opportunities for migrating shorebirds in many combinations. Here the headliner is flanked by a Semipalmated and Least Sandpiper and a Pectoral Sandpiper. It reminds me of the paintings shown in the old series in Life Magazine, "The World We Live In", which I would pore over for hours as a kid.
