Common in Olmsted County in the Fall season
First spotted by Brad Abendroth while on ZVAS field trip at the KR-7 reservoir west of Rochester. Discussion in the field was that it was likely a Henslow's Sparrow as we thought there was some olive color in the face. It was then reported as such in ebird. After posting this picture on MOU it was reexamined by several of the participants and other MN birders and re-ID'd as LeConte's. The field marks noted for LeConte's are white crown strip and smaller bill. The olive color in the field seemed not to be present in the photo. Another photo not published shows white streaking on the back consistent with LeContes Sparrow.
