White-throated Sparrow in Rice County

Common in Rice County in the Fall season

When I heard some rustling in the brush, I pished, and this sparrow popped up and landed on a branch. It looks as if it's in mid action, but it remained still, with its wing in this position, for about 15 seconds before dropping down into the brush again.
