'Rare Regular' in Minnesota

Jim Otto and Scott Meyer located a Yellow-breasted Chat at Black Dog Preserve in Burnsville on June 1. From the kiosk at the trailhead, go down the trail, continue east on the trail after you pass under the transmission towers until you are 100 m past the second transmission tower.

Cliff Fen/Black Dog Preserve can be reached by taking Cliff Road east about 1 mile from Interstate 35W in Burnsville. There is a sign for Black Dog preserve on the north side of the road, the trailhead and kiosk are on the north side of the soccer field east of the parking lot.
