Five or fewer records in Hubbard County for the Summer season

This out-of-range singing male Blue-winged Warbler was found and observed by 31 Minnesota Birding Weekends participants on 17 June at Itasca State Park. It was on the Hubbard County side of the park, along County Road 123 (the east entrance road), 0.2 mile east of the contact station, or 0.8 mile west of Minn Hwy 200. The song never varied from the typical two-syllabled Blue-winged song, and there were no visible plumage anamolies to suggest hybridization.
