Snowy Owl in Rice County

Uncommon in Rice County in the Winter season

When I arrived, the owl was perched atop a tall spruce at the farmsite located at the intersection of Alta Ave. (Dakota Hi 59) and 330th St. (Hi 19). This is about 2-3 miles east of Northfield and about 50 m south of Dakota County. It also perched on the top of the silo directly south of Alta. It later flew about 1/3 mi. SE where this photo was taken. Thanks to Dan Tallman for the post.
