Common in Sherburne County in the Spring season

At least 25 Black Terns were crisscrossing the Prairie's Edge Wildlife Drive between Nelson Pool and Schoolhouse Pool at Sherburne National Wildlife Refuge on May 16, 2024. A refuge volunteer told me that the Terns nest a little farther along the drive at nearby Stickney Pool.
