Close up head shot of Laughing Gull in flight at Canal Park, Duluth, 29 April 2011. First found at the Park Point Recreation Area by Jan & Larry Kraemer early in the morning on the 28th, the bird was not seen again until 4:20 PM that afternoon when Peder Svingen refound it at Hearding Island. The next sighting was at 4:30 PM on the 29th when Jan & John Green spotted the bird at Canal Park. Although it disappeared shortly after its rediscovery by the Greens, it returned to Canal Park between 6:32 and 6:52 PM on the 29th when this image was obtained. An all day search by multiple observers on the 30th was unsuccessful.
