'Rare Regular' in Minnesota - Five or fewer records in St. Louis County for the Spring season
This afternoon I looked out my window and spotted a towhee species in the yard. I grabbed my binoculars and immediately identified the towhee as a Spotted Towhee which is the 2nd record in the city limits and possibly the 3rd record in St. Louis County ( Cook, MN and Park Point sightings ). I called some local birders and posted the sighting on the MOU-net. This is my first western stray that found my feeders and hopefully more oddities will visit my feeders in the future. Photo was taken out the window on a dark gloomy - rainy day.
