Common in Washington County in the Summer season
Sharon Steitler was encouraging the use of fruit to entice more birds to back-yard feeders. In that same vein I'd encourage the use of suet feeders. The catch is that you can get some different birds if the feeder can be used by birds that like to perch - like this catbird. She has been bringing suet back to her nest for the last three years. She also has looked at the other suet feeders that are hanging on trees but can't figure out how to get at the suet. I imagine that other perching birds might do the same. Crows, for example, use this feeder as well.
