Occasional in Lac qui Parle County in the Winter season

Got a picture of one female belted kingfisher over Cobb Creek half a mile south of County Road 12 on 155th Ave in Lac qui Parle County on the morning of January 4, 2012. She was catching bullheads. Area creeks and rivers are wide open and many kingfishers decided to stick around this year. This is the latest I've ever seen one in Minnesota.
