Friends of Dale Rehder found the bird while walking their dog. Dale Rehder told Connie Norheim about the bird on May 22 and showed her his photo. She went and saw the bird from 8:30-9 AM Thursday May 22, 2008. The area in east Moorhead is in the process of being developed - the streets are in and the city is in the process of digging in the electrical cables. The bird was on the west side of 26th St. S sitting on a pile of dirt beside a hole near a green electrical box. Dale said he'd talk with his friends and ask them not to take the dog there while the owl is still around.
