Common in Hennepin County in the Spring season

On Mother's Day I enjoyed watching this juvenile Killdeer scamper around playfully near a suburban parking lot then stop to rest. An adult kept a vigilant watch from a short distance away, not a easy feat with two of them going in different directions in a high traffic area.
