Surf Scoter in Carver County

Occasional in Carver County in the Fall season

This Surf Scoter was about 20 yards west of Lake Waconia Beach only about 10 feet from shore initially. Soon after this picture was taken, the scoter tucked its head to sleep and slowly drifted from shore.
