'Rare Regular' in Minnesota - Five or fewer records in St. Louis County for the Fall season

Thanks to the generous hospitality of Tim Viche, more than 50 birders have now seen the juvenile Yellow-breasted Chat (Icteria virens) that he found and identified in his backyard yesterday. The bird looks healthy and continues to be active throughout the day. The supply of nightshade berries in the ravine is nearly depleted, so the bird may not linger much longer; it has expanded its dietary repertoire by sampling suet from a neighbor's feeder.
