'Rare Regular' in Minnesota

Good comparison of adult gulls at Colvill Park in Redwing. Adult Thayer's Gull (right center) with nine Ring-billed Gulls and one Herring Gull (left edge). Note the small dark eye with reddish eye ring, smaller (than Herring Gull) bill with prominent red gonys, and round head. Underside of primaries (not visible) were nearly pure white to tip.
