Western Cattle-Egret in Nicollet County

Occasional in Nicollet County in the Summer season

Two Cattle Egrets were found today about 1.5 miles east of Nicollet in a small pool of water just east of the diesel repair shop on the north side of Highway 99. Both egrets spent the day feeding on insects on the back of cattle in the pool.
