Townsend's Solitaire in Wabasha County

'Rare Regular' in Minnesota

Yesterday (2-10-2014) around 4:00pm I found 2 Townsend's Solitaires about a half mile west of Weaver along CR 26 in Wabasha County. The birds were in the junipers along the north side of the road near the first section of exposed rock. The birds were attracted to the pishing sound I was making. Both birds came out and flew into a tall tree to check the noise. They then started "fighting" with each other in the air and then went their separate ways with one going west and the other going east along the hillside.
