Loggerhead Shrike in Kandiyohi County

Occasional in Kandiyohi County in the Summer season

Jeff Weitzel has observed a Loggerhead Shrike on several occasions this summer just north of Willmar Senior High School. Joel Schmidt discovered three shrikes together in this area on 7-28-14, and following up on Joel's report I found a total of four (just three pictured here) on 7-29-14. Obviously it is a family group with juveniles - a first record of Loggerhead Shrikes nesting in Kandiyohi County.
