Occasional in Mower County in the Spring season

I stopped at the Mill Pond in downtown Austin to check for waterfowl at 1:30 today (03/27) and was pleased to find a Peregrine Falcon - first in the air harassing a Red-tailed Hawk and then in a tree near the playground area close to the west parking lot. After several minutes in the tree, the bird went to the ground to feed on a kill - looked like a Lesser Scaup. It was still present when I left at 3:00.
