Uncommon in Hennepin County in the Winter season
This large characteristic first-cycle Glaucous Gull in spite of the recent sub-zero temps was still present and the only gull on a frozen Lake Harriet today when I was there. It remained sitting on the ice in a side profile showing off its translucent short primary projection, paler than the rest of its plumage with narrow dark arrowhead markings near the tips, diagnostic of first year.
