Uncommon in Blue Earth County in the Fall season

Found on CR 13 between CR 30 and CR 32 south of Lake Crystal. The average departure date for southern Minnesota is Nov. 7. From MOU records, this is the latest Dunlin in Blue Earth County and the 2nd latest Dunlin in the state, behind an individual found in St. Louis County on December 15, 2001 on the CBC. Unusual, but not unheard of as this has been a mild start to the winter with lots of open shallow water.
