Uncommon in Marshall County in the Winter season

This is Hannah Pederson's first ever Snowy Owl sighting. She's a 6th grader at Warren-Alvarado-Oslo School District where she and her classmates are studying local birds (in a special BirdWatch program funded in part by an MOU Savaloja Grant). On Feb 7th, we discussed how important it is to report the birds we see and - to get a photo to confirm a sighting. This is her first report. Hannah and her mom, Kristi Pederson spotted this owl on US 75 just north of Warren MN on Friday Feb 9 at 3:40pm
