5.0 In Summary
I have attempted to provide a brief over-
view of the use of computers in the personal
bird record keeping environment. This envi-
ronment also includes birding organizations
such as the MOU. With the arrival of the
personal computer the means are now avail-
able to maintain in a much more permanent
and useable vehicle the considerable data that
Spring 1990
has built up over the years in the records of
the birders of the State of Minnesota . This
must have a positive effect on the future of
record keeping.
