The different species included BLACK-BELLIED PLOVERS - 4, SEMIPALMATED PLOVERS - 47, HUDSONIAN GODWITS - 3, SANDERLING -1, LEAST SANDPIPER -310, SHORT-BILLED DOWITCHER -54 and LESSER YELLOWLEGS - 1272. As Fall approaches the numbers of shorebirds are increasing.

On Saturday, July 26 Mike Mulligan and Shelley Steva saw the EURASIAN COLLARED-DOVE in Thief River Falls in the same location as before.

On Saturday, July 26, Shelley Steva saw 2 LOGGERHEAD SHRIKES at the Galcial Ridge Project Headquarters as well as a colony of BANK SWALLOWS along the Sandhill River. At Agassiz Dunes she saw Grasshopper Sparrows, CLAY-COLORED SPARROWS, LARK SPARROWS and a FIELD SPARROW. All of these birds were seen in Polk County.

On Friday, July 25 Peder Svingen Saw 3 HENSLOW'S SPARROWS 2 miles east and 1.2 miles north of the intersection of Polk Co. 49 and MN 32. These birds were in Red Lake County.
