Pam Benson found a NORTHERN MOCKINGBIRD today at Croftville, east of Grand Marais, near fire marker 1460. In Grand Marais, a female BLACK SCOTER was still present on the east side of the harbor, and a YELLOW-RUMPED WARBLER was near the Johnson Heritage Post Art Gallery. There are still hundreds of Herring Gulls in Grand Marais. We saw no Pine Grosbeaks, Bohemian Waxwings, or redpolls in a full day of birding the shore.
