This is the Duluth Birding Report for Thursday, July 29, 2004, sponsored by the Minnesota Ornithologists' Union.
Jim Lind found BUFF-BREASTED SANDPIPER in the fairway of the first hole at the Two Harbors golf course on the 26th. He also found a BAIRD'S SANDPIPER on the rocks in front of the lighthouse at Agate Bay, also in Two Harbors, on the same day.
Janet Riegel reported a BLACK-BILLED CUCKOO at 40th Ave West on the 18th. She also saw LEAST SANDPIPER, PECTORAL SANDPIPER, and SEMIPALMATED SANDPIPER.
Jean Carpenter found GOLDEN-WINGED WARBLER and CONNECTICUT WARBLER at Jay Cooke State Park on the 23rd.
