As John Schladweiler recently predicted, the Common Moorhens have =
successfully nested at Rosenau-Lambrecht WMA east of New Ulm.  I stopped =
by there this morning and saw one of the adult birds with two small =
chicks along the cattails on the smaller north marsh.  I suspect that =
there might be more than the two chicks I saw.  The area where I found =
them was just slightly to the east of the central portion of the marsh.
