Greetings:

Gordon and Artis Martinson, Breckenridge, Mn.were our house guest this past week-end. Gordon spotted two PINE SISKINS at our bird seed feeder on Saturday. A new species for our yard.

Sunday we birded Rice County. We saw a pair of Bald Eagles on nest south of Camp Winona Trail, at south end of General Shield's Lake. On way ack to Faribault we saw another Bald Eagle in a tree. South of Dundas, about a half mile, on east side of road we saw a Bald Eagle eating on a deer carcus. Just a bit south of that , at south end of Bachrach Way. on east side of Highway #3, in old Bald Eagle nest is a Great Horned Owl on nest. And just beyond that we saw a lare flock of AMERICAN ROBINS
fly across the road, east to west. We counted them, and then after they had passed we saw another robin in top of a tree for total cound of 51 birds.
