[mou] Aitkin County this last weekend

This last Saturday, Butch Ukura and I birded around Aitkin County and 
found a few interesting things.
SNOWY OWL: from the stopligjht in Aitkin, go northeast on highways 
169/210 for about 3 miles to 370th Lane. the bird was about 1/4 mile in.
SNOWY OWL: from the Mississsippi bridge on the north side of Aitkin, 
take C.R.1 for about 5.7 miles. Bird was on the far side of the west field.
AMERICAN THREE-TOED WOODPECKER: from Lawler, take C.R.27 south for 3.7 
miles. Workings are on the east side of the road.
BOHEMIAN WAXWINGS: from Palisade, go south on C.R.5 for 3 miles to 
Twnshp 380. Then go west for 3 miles and south for 2.1 miles. About 
50-60 birds in a large flowering crab on the west side of the road.
SHARP-TAILED GROUSE: 4 birds on C.R.18 about 2 and 1/4 miles east of 
highway 169.
Other birds seen: 100 SNOW BUNTINGS, 60 COMMON REDPOLLS, 4 NORTHERN 
SHRIKES, PINE GROSBEAKS, 4 RUFFED GROUSE, 4 BALD EAGLES, ROUGH-LEGGED 
HAWKS.
